My name is Martha Simmons… Welcome to Martha’s Quilting and Embroidery. We are located in Gatesville, Texas. We have been in business since 2009, but I have been sewing for over 45 years! In my earlier years of sewing, I made all of the clothes worn by my family. It has always been my dream to quilt, I love sewing and creating new items that bring joy to others.
It is so satisfying to bring joy to someone through my quilting. When I create a memory quilt or complete a quilt that is a family heirloom,
it brings joy to me when I see the faces of the loved one when they see their memories quilts something they can hold and remember. I call these quilts Cuddle Quilts, since the memories brought on by the quilts are like cuddling with loved ones.
I also enjoy creating t-shirt quilts. They really show the personality of the person, I can create from wall hangings to king size…
